AL-Basra Investigation seized container including unauthorized medicine and forged import petitions in Umqaser Port

 AL-Basra Investigation Directorate -CoI showed that its staff seized container including unauthorized medicine and forged import petitions in North Umqaser Port throughout seizing operation under judicial arrest warrants   

Directorate revealed that its anti-bribery committee managed to seize container including unauthorized medicine in contrast with formal import documents, which they noted that the authorized import articles are medical requirements, while the most seized material were medicine and some medical requirements to deceive the inspection committee since the importer does not have the license to import medicines.

In the same context the Directorate assured that it carried out an operation for seizing forged import licenses inside the customs office. The Directorate mentioned that it employees seized 145 forged import licenses out of 731 seized licenses, as process are still ongoing to get the verification   issuance of the 586 licenses. 

The two seized articles were wrote down in two seizing minutes and presented to the specialized judge for taking the appropriate legal procedures against the violators. End
